Airman First Class Leebernard E. Chavis, assigned to the 824th Security Forces Squadron, was killed by enemy gunfire on Oct. 14, 2006 in the vicinity of Baghdad, Iraq. Airman Chavis, age 21, was performing duties as a member of a U.S. military police training team supporting Iraqi police at the time of his death.
